While living and working abroad, many things we used to assume and do unconsciously become conscious and awkward.
This pre-departure seminar is designed for the expatriate family planning an extended stay in a foreign country.
"Very necessary training in preparation for corporate relocation; would also be helpful for those with frequent interaction with other cultures, even if a move is not involved."
Senior Vice-President, Daimler Chrysler
Program Objectives:
- Contrasting participants' culturally held beliefs with those of the host culture
- Assessing the impact those differences have on interpersonal and gender communication as well as team interaction, management styles and conflict resolution
- Seamless transition and adjustment of the corporate executive and his family to the new culture.
Program Benefits:
- How to manage the unavoidable culture shock
- Personal 'Cultural Software Assessment®' and the insights it gives participants on how to better relate and interact within the host culture
- The benefits to the corporation itself are enormous since the executive arrives mentally prepared, ready to be productive and free to concentrate on the new assignment knowing the family support base is positive and adequately taken care of
