Spouse and family issues are paramount in adjusting to a new culture. Keeping children and teens actively engaged and comfortable in the new cultural environment is critical to the support base of the expatriate.
Program Objectives:
Arrival in a foreign land can be as exciting and interesting as an extended vacation with intelligent preparations. We seek to inform as well as provide the contacts and introductions that make the mental, cultural transition as smooth as possible.

- Key cultural concepts and geographical/historical roots of the host culture
- Perceptions, assumptions and cultural expectations
- How to navigate culture shock
- How the host culture affects social etiquette and dynamics
- Focus on peer interaction and teaching styles in the host culture
- Introductions and sponsorships for spouses, children and teens to welcoming clubs and associations
- Continued mentoring during the first months of relocation in order to assist families in the adjustment to new challenges as they arise

Duration: Half-day workshop and hourly sessions when required
